Summer Camp
$30 Registration fee per family.
Additional siblings receive 5% discount.
Before and after school care (7:30-5:30) at $10 per additional hour per week.
*Minimum of 6 children needed to offer service.
Infant Community Program students must sign up for at least 4 weeks.
Late and emergency drop off: 1/2 hours: $5 and 1 hour $7. *This service will only be available if before and after school daycare is offered.
PROGRAMS
Summer campers will enjoy traveling around the world and visiting a different country every week. They will enjoy Arts and Crafts, Gardening, Cooking, Movie Day and much more! Programs will be offered in Spanish and English immersion environments.
Infant Community 18 mos. to 3 yrs.
Little ones get adapted to the environment through exploration. We prepare a place for them to develop through their senses, making sure that their need for order is met. During the camp the children have nourishing experiences in the environments as well as get introduced to Spanish and English. This program serves well as a transition for those entering in the fall.
Children's House Program 3 to 6 yrs.
Full English and Spanish separate classrooms are available in this level. The children work with the Montessori materials for learning and enjoy all the summer camp amenities that are offered!
Spanish Immersion: If you want your child to attend a full Spanish Immersion program this is it!
Transition Program: This environment will serve as a transitional program for all children new to Montessori and those moving up to the 3-6yrs Children's House. This environment will be held bilingual (English/Spanish) in support of the children's transition.
Elementary Spanish Immersion
Spanish is an important aspect of our border community. This program will immerse children (1st - 6th grades) into the spanish language through Montessori curriculum as well as many fun and creative activities! We have planned weekly learning and lots of fun activities for all.
Elementary English Reading and Writing
Children who are entering a 1st - 6th grade elementary program next school year will benefit tremendously from this program! Every student will be assessed for reading and writing levels and will be given specific help to ease and aid their transition into the new school year. In the afternoon, the children will enjoy the many fun activities our summer camp offers!
SUNRISE YOGA 5yrs and above
This class will focus on simple yoga activities, getting minds energized and focused, and bodies working healthy. Children will learn yoga poses, katas, creating mandals and connecting with nature.
NUTRITION COOKING CLASS 5yrs and above
Students will practice healthy food choices and learn where our food comes from. Children will be engaged in lots of activities including presentations, cooking and crafts.

VOLUNTEER SUMMER CAMP COUNSELORS
Our Summer Camp is accepting applications for Volunteer Student Camp Counselors. We are cordially inviting children 13 yrs and older to collaborate, learn and fulfull their volunteer work requirements with us at Mt. West Montessori.
Volunteering is a wonderful way of learning to be part of a collaborating effort. Children will get an opportunity to work with younger children, help with set up and organization of all the fun events and follow a schedule under supervision. A letter of recommendation with the amount of hours and description of responsibilities will be given at the end of their commitment.
